UWF’s quarterback competition is over. The mystery is not.
Kaleb Nobles confirmed Wednesday that the Argos have selected their starter, but Southern Illinois—and everyone else—will have to wait until tonight to learn who won the job.
Nobles said the competition was strong and that multiple quarterbacks made the final decision difficult for the coaching staff.
Ty’ray Davis and Donovan Leary remain among UWF’s options. Davis is a returning redshirt sophomore who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns last season. Leary is a senior transfer from Tulane who brings additional college experience to the room.
The decision has been made behind closed doors. Now UWF’s first offensive series will provide the answer everyone has been waiting for.
